Starbucks CEO and Founder Howard Schultz has announced a new logo for Starbucks. In this video, he explains the evolution of the siren, and how it was time to “take her out of the circle.” So far, the comments have been reported to be overall negative. Do you find it interesting that the company name has been removed, and what do you think of Starbucks logo 2011?

I think the logo looks fine. Sure a lot of people are used to the old logo, but if the evolved logo has a meaning then that’s important. I think starbucks has made a name for themselves and their logo is easily identifiable such that they don’t even have to have their name on the logo anymore. You just look at the logo and you know it’s Starbucks.
