Podcast: Pay It Forward Tip Night Elk Grove 2007

IHOP Servers Get $965 Tip Each!

Tip Night Elk Grove was started in 2006 by Jacqui McManigal, a local girl who does more community service that any other 10 people put together in our city. The second annual Tip Night Elk Grove, which celebrates Pay It Forward as explained by Jacqui in this podcast, was held at a local IHOP. Disguised as a local service club, 65 members from our Elk Grove online community, www.elk-grove.com, first had a Christmas dinner, then the tips were quietly collected.

Our two servers were surprised when Jacqui presented each of them with $965.00 in cash as a tip! Listen to the story……

I was sorry I missed last nights event. I attended the 1st Tip Night in Elk Grove and it was absolutely amazing. I can only imagine how last nights event turned out. The pictures and the PODCAST was GREAT! It allowed me to be a part of an event that I could not physically attend!
    Great WORK! John and Jacqui

Unfortunately, I’ve missed BOTH events! I really need to take vacation time just to go to next year’s. It sounds like such a fantastic event. It’s things like this that make EGO the best online/offline community out there.

My guess is 212. I just like the number! :-)

I had the pleasure of attending both last year and this year’s event. This is what makes Elk Grove such a great place to live; people really care. Thank you Jacqui for what you have done to help our community. I’ll keep my eyes open during the year for things to donate for next year’s event.
