Strikes, Yer In!

How do you think this will affect nearby competing venues like Gold’s Gym? Endless Sun? And…it looks like we finally have a kinda coffee shop near I-5!

I’m not worried about Golds because it’s been a rumored closing candidate for several months.
I have more confidence in Judy from Endless Sun than one could imagine and I think she will take the Jeremy of Pet’s To Go approach and differentiate to success.

I am really excited about the proposed bowling alley and new CalFit!
I think most people in Elk Grove have been members of CalFit or 24HR for sometime as they have been in our community for quite sometime. Gold’s Gym is the newbie of the group, and I wasn’t going to jump ship from CalFit because of lower membership rates because I have been a loyal member for years, and I am very happy there and so are my children. So if Gold’s Gym stays or goes it doesn’t effect me personally. But it looks like a beautiful facility, and I am sorry that it hasn’t attracted more customers.
Smaller businesses like Endless Sun or Robinson’s Tae Kwon Do shouldn’t suffer with the addition of CalFit because when it comes to personalized services like what Endless Sun offers or a specific structured class for fitness; people will seek these services out away from the gym atmosphere. I don’t see CalFit as the Cosco of fitness and beauty

The bowling alley will be very popular with Elk Grove residents. As long as it is well run, the word PACKED comes to mind.

What is going on with Golds Gym?
I thought they had a large investment backing them to carry through the slow times?
Beautiful facility. Not enough day time usage.
They should have a “daytime membership” special to attract seniors and retired baby boomers.

I too am looking forward to a bowling alley. There was one tried in East Elk Grove a few years back but I think there wasn’t enough people living in EG at the time to sustain it. Certainly not the case now!!!
