How are things?
Do you know if we can get [the City] to set a new law about opening a new business where this is already an existing ones?
No other coffee shops within 1 mile radius can open another coffee shop, no other mexican, pizza, salon, mail place within 1 mile.
If you can ask for help this to get approved. This will also protect your existing tenants from any competition.

My Response: I think that is why the US has federal protection against restraint of trade so that the market, not the government, makes the decision as to whom meets the needs of the consumer. There are many niches, and I know you are highly regarded and are working hard to leverage yours.
